Lake Akdoğan

Nestled at the foot of volcanic peaks in eastern Turkey lies the scenic freshwater lake of Akdoğan. Located near the city of Muş in Muş Province, it is fed by streams flowing from the surrounding mountains. Fringed by pine forests and reed beds, Lake Akdoğan's azure waters provide a tranquil respite amid dramatic highland scenery. A trail encircles the lakeshore, winding through woodlands with meadows of wildflowers. Over 170 bird species have been recorded here, including globally threatened species like the grey crowned crane. Small coves offer scenic spots to swim, picnic or observe wildlife such as frogs and fish.

Lake Haçlı
