Aegean Region

The Aegean Region is a geographical and cultural region located in western Turkey. It is named after the Aegean Sea, which forms its western border. Geography: The Aegean Region is situated between the Marmara Region to the north and the Mediterranean Region to the south. It encompasses an area of approximately 79,000 square kilometers (30,500 square miles) and includes the provinces of İzmir, Aydın, Denizli, Muğla, Manisa, Afyonkarahisar, Uşak, Balıkesir, Kütahya, and Karaman.

Mediterranean Region

The Mediterranean Region is a geographical and cultural region located in southern Turkey, along the country's Mediterranean coastline. It is characterized by its warm climate, beautiful beaches, and rich historical heritage. Geography: The Mediterranean Region is situated between the Aegean Region to the north and the Southeastern Anatolia Region to the east. It encompasses an area of approximately 120,000 square kilometers (46,300 square miles) and includes the provinces of Antalya, Mersin, Adana, Hatay, Isparta, Burdur, and Osmaniye.

Marmara

The Marmara Region is a geographical and cultural region located in northwestern Turkey. It is named after the Sea of Marmara, which separates the region from the Balkan Peninsula. Geography: The Marmara Region is bordered by the Black Sea to the north, the Aegean Sea to the west, and the Aegean and Mediterranean regions to the south. It encompasses an area of approximately 67,000 square kilometers (25,900 square miles) and includes the provinces of Istanbul, Edirne, Kırklareli, Tekirdağ, Çanakkale, Balıkesir, Bursa, Sakarya, Yalova, and Kocaeli.

Central Anatolia

The region is composed of several provinces, including Ankara, Konya, Nevşehir, Kayseri, Aksaray, and Eskişehir.

Black Sea Region

The Black Sea Region is a geographical and cultural region located in the northern part of Turkey, along the coast of the Black Sea. It is known for its lush green landscapes, vibrant local culture, and historical significance. Southeast Anatolia

Southeast Anatolia, also known as Southeastern Anatolia or simply the Southeast, is a dynamic and culturally rich region located in the southeastern part of Turkey. It is known for its historical significance, diverse ethnic groups, ancient archaeological sites, and breathtaking landscapes. The region is bordered by the Mediterranean Region to the west, the Eastern Anatolia Region to the northeast, and Syria and Iraq to the south. Geography: Southeast Anatolia is primarily characterized by its unique geographical features. The region is situated on the upper Mesopotamian plain and encompasses the fertile lands around the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. Eastern Anatolia

Eastern Anatolia, also known as Eastern Turkey, is a captivating and diverse region located in the easternmost part of Turkey. It is characterized by its rugged mountain ranges, vast plateaus, deep valleys, and historical sites that showcase the region's rich cultural heritage. Eastern Anatolia is bordered by the Black Sea Region to the north, the Central Anatolia Region to the west, and the Southeast Anatolia Region to the south. Geography: Eastern Anatolia is known for its unique geography, dominated by the majestic peaks of the Eastern Taurus Mountains and the Armenian Highlands. Mount Ararat, the highest peak in Turkey, is located in this region.
