In 1917, a shepherd who had scars on his leg treated himself in this water by coincidence. After successful results, the local people began to open primitive pools in the thermal area for their own treatment. During the past 50 years, they have excavated a few 10-mt-sq pools. In 1979 another 5-floor hotel with 33 rooms was built. Throughout these years the unique thermal Town of Kangal has been visited by world-known press organizations such as German SAT-TV, the US Travel Channel and the Discovery Channel from North America, etc. These documentaries are all available in our archives.
