Aegean Region
The Aegean Region is a geographical and cultural region located in western Turkey. It is named after the Aegean Sea, which forms its western border. Geography: The Aegean Region is situated between the Marmara Region to the north and the Mediterranean Region to the south. It encompasses an area of approximately 79,000 square kilometers (30,500 square miles) and includes the provinces of İzmir, Aydın, Denizli, Muğla, Manisa, Afyonkarahisar, Uşak, Balıkesir, Kütahya, and Karaman.
